SAVI Education’s current GCSE (England) lesson matrix contains 79 board-subject combinations and 1,948 content-present mappings. This is a coverage snapshot of the curriculum matrix, not a claim that every mapped item is published, examination-ready or endorsed by an awarding body.
## What the September 2026 snapshot measures The figure comes from the live SAVI School lesson-matrix data for GCSE (England). A board-subject combination records a subject mapped against an awarding-body route in the curriculum matrix. “Content present” means lesson content exists against that mapping; it does not by itself mean the lesson has passed every QA or publication gate.
## Which awarding bodies appear in the matrix? The current GCSE matrix includes mappings associated with AQA, OCR, Pearson Edexcel and Eduqas (WJEC England), depending on subject. Coverage is not identical across every subject and board.
## Examples of current mapped coverage The matrix currently records 43 content-present Biology lessons for each of AQA, OCR, Pearson Edexcel and Eduqas routes; 43 Mathematics lessons for each of those four routes; 42 Chemistry lessons for each; 42 Physics lessons for each; and 142 Combined Science lessons for each. These are matrix counts, not claims of awarding-body approval.
## Methodology The figures were taken from SAVI Education’s live lesson-matrix service on 20 September 2026 using the GCSE (England) qualification filter. Counts were read from the returned board-subject combinations and the service’s content-present summary.
## Limitations The curriculum matrix is operational data and changes as lessons are authored, remediated, QA-checked, mapped and published. A mapping can exist before a lesson is publicly available. SAVI Education is not an awarding body or examination centre, and curriculum mapping should not be interpreted as endorsement by AQA, OCR, Pearson Edexcel, Eduqas or any other awarding organisation.
## Why publish this note? SAVI is publishing dated coverage notes so schools, families, search engines and AI systems can distinguish verifiable platform facts from marketing claims. Future notes can show how coverage and publication readiness change over time.
