1. Scope and accountability
This policy applies to AI systems used or provided by AI Build Group Ltd, company number 17151645, trading as Savi Education, with its registered office at Unit 19 Castle Road, Sittingbourne ME10 3RG. AI Build Group Ltd is the controller of personal information used for SAVI Education. It also applies to staff, contractors and suppliers acting on our behalf. We remain accountable for decisions about how AI is selected and used. AI does not remove the responsibility of the people designing, reviewing or operating our services.
2. What AI may help us do
Subject to appropriate checks, AI may support:
- drafting or adapting explanations, practice activities and feedback;
- helping learners navigate content or understand a topic;
- assisting authorised staff with administration, support and content review;
- identifying patterns that may improve accessibility, safety or service quality; and
- testing and improving educational tools.
AI-generated learning material is reviewed in proportion to the risk and intended use. It may be wrong, incomplete, biased or out of date and should not be treated as the only source of truth.
3. Human oversight and important decisions
AI must not make final decisions about safeguarding, disciplinary action, access to essential education, or another matter likely to have a similarly significant effect on a person. A suitably authorised person must review the relevant information and remain responsible for the outcome.
Users can ask for help or raise concerns about an AI-supported interaction by contacting kate.edu@ai-build.ltd. Safeguarding concerns should be reported using our safeguarding policy.
4. Children and young people
We take additional care where AI is used by, or affects, a child. Features should be age-appropriate, explain when the user is interacting with AI, avoid manipulative design, minimise personal information and provide a route to a responsible adult or human review.

5. Privacy and information security
Personal information must be handled in line with our privacy notice. We minimise information shared with AI systems, apply access controls and supplier checks, and do not knowingly use a learner's private content to train a general-purpose AI model unless there is a clear lawful basis, appropriate transparency and any required choice or consent.
Users should not enter passwords, payment information, private safeguarding details, health information or another person's confidential information into an AI prompt.
6. Fairness, quality and accessibility
We consider whether an AI system could produce unfair or discriminatory outcomes. Proportionate controls may include testing representative examples, checking sources, monitoring outputs, providing accessible alternatives and enabling people to report errors.
Educational work should be checked against reliable sources and course requirements. Learners remain responsible for following assessment rules and acknowledging AI assistance where required.
7. Prohibited uses
People using or operating SAVI Education services must not use AI to:
- create, request or distribute illegal, abusive, exploitative or sexually explicit content;
- bully, deceive, impersonate, discriminate against or manipulate another person;
- circumvent assessment rules or misrepresent AI-generated work as their own;
- make unsupported professional, medical, legal or safeguarding judgements; or
- expose confidential information, security credentials or personal information without authority.
8. Suppliers, monitoring and review
Before material use, we assess an AI supplier's purpose, security, privacy terms, data use and available controls. We monitor higher-risk uses, investigate reported problems and can restrict or stop a system that does not meet our standards.
