GCSE subject and exam-board coverage

Last reviewed:

SAVI School coverage is calculated from specification-objective mappings to canonical lessons — not from a lesson merely carrying an exam-board label. An indexable qualification, board or subject page is published only when that mapped coverage exists and the public catalogue can show useful unique content. Incomplete combinations are described as incomplete or withheld from the sitemap.

Diagram of SAVI coverage: a qualification, an awarding body and a subject are mapped only when a canonical lesson exists. No lesson means the combination is not covered.
Mapped means a canonical lesson exists. A board name without that lesson is not coverage.

What mapped means

A combination is mapped when the catalogue has at least one canonical lesson for that qualification, awarding body and subject. The lesson may be shared by more than one board when the same objective applies. Sharing a lesson is not copying the page, and it is not approval by the awarding organisation. Ofqual regulates GCSEs in England; the boards publish the specifications.

Counts from this request

Last reviewed:

No indexable combinations were returned, so there are no counts to publish.

These figures are the rows below, counted when this page was rendered. They are not a pass rate, a learner count, or a statement that every specification objective is complete.

Evidence chain

  1. Qualification (for example GCSE in England).
  2. Awarding body (for example AQA), only where a specification mapping exists.
  3. Subject and current specification.
  4. Expected specification objectives versus mapped objectives.
  5. Canonical lesson (shared across boards where the same lesson is valid).
  6. Last audited timestamp from the curriculum matrix, not the website deploy time.

Public qualification, board and subject URLs are generated only from combinations that pass this quality gate. Combinations that exist only as unpublished skeletons or empty board-ID matches are not advertised in the sitemap.

Four different states

These words are not interchangeable. The table lower down shows only the last of them.

Mapping
A specification objective is linked to a canonical lesson. A board name on its own is not a mapping.
Content present
The public catalogue returned a lesson for that combination when this page was requested.
QA-approved
A separate curriculum review state. This public page does not treat a mapping as a QA pass.
Publicly listed
The combination is indexable because mapped content is in the public catalogue. Drafts and skeletons are omitted.

Live coverage

The live catalogue returned no indexable qualification, board and subject combinations. No coverage rows are invented.

Does SAVI support every AQA GCSE subject?

No. Support means a mapped specification objective with a canonical lesson, not the presence of a board identifier. Subject and board pages are only indexable where that mapping and useful public content exist.

If a lesson lists more than one board, is the content copied?

No. Where a canonical lesson supports more than one board or specification, those routes link to the same lesson rather than duplicating the body.

How is coverage different from marketing copy?

A coverage claim should be derivable from qualification, awarding body, subject, specification, mapped objectives, canonical lessons and a last-audited timestamp. Pages that cannot show that evidence stay noindex or unpublished.

Limitations

AI Build Group Ltd is listed on the UK Register of Learning Providers, UKPRN 10101917. That listing is not Department for Education accreditation or endorsement. Check the UKRLP record.

Evidence and sources

Coverage figures on this page come from the public catalogue at request time. Compared with a marketing list of exam boards, a row appears only when mapped content is present. QA-approved and publicly listed are separate states.

  • As of this request. 0 publicly listed combinations, 0 lessons in those combinations.
  • Not claimed. SAVI is not an awarding organisation and does not publish pass rates from this table.
